Cuba’s LGBT Pride in photos!

I wanted to share these photos with a friend… and decided instead to share them with the world! Enjoy.

Some of these were taken at CENESEX, Cuba’s National Center for Sexual Education – the agency that organizes Cuba’s Pride events.

A largely lesbian band plays at El Mejunje, the kickoff event for 2017 Pride events in Santa Clara, Cuba.

That’s the banner we helped hang! It says, I’m In: For Workplaces Free of Homophobia and Transphobia. In the foreground, in the blue shirt and ecru hat, is Mariela Castro – director of CENESEX.

This is the national Gala Against Homophobia and Transphobia in 2016. The stage was amazing, and the performances were too!

Two Cuban guys walk down the street on the way to the Pride march. If you look closely, you can see they’re holding hands. A very sweet moment. I ran into them later that day, got their info, and sent them a copy of the photo.

This rainbow flag and a matching Cuban flag lead the Pride march in Havana.
